My Graphic 45 French Country Barn and Mini

I had so much fun creating this project using the G45 French Country collection! Yet, when it first came out, I wondered what I would do with all the roosters!  I'm so glad that I was finally inspired to look beyond the roosters.  I'll admit that the fact that there were a lot of French words all over were part of what attracted me to use the collection.  I hope you will enjoy looking at what I've created!

This was a raw wood bird cage purchased for $6 at JoAnn's.

I wasn't sure how I would use the French Country paper! Love how it turned out!

I always knew I wanted to put a mini inside. So glad that I was finally able to pry the back open!

I made the mini from scratch using chipboard. That way I could be sure that it would fit perfectly!

Love the inside. Looks like it has an area rug, LOL!

Another look at the back and the mini.

I left the sides pretty plain, But yes, I did fussy cut the paper to have that diamond effect!

A look at the left front corner.

The big flower is from BoBunny and the little 1 inch birdcage is, I believe, Tim Holtz. I made those tiny flowers! Given the 1 inch metal birdcage, you can see just how tiny the flowers are!

I used a Creative Memories punch to create all the butterflies on the barn! A little bling simulates flying!

The binding of the mini, serves as the window background.

The mini is 5.5 x 3

The mini just pulled out of the barn!

Mini inside front cover and page 1. Note the small envelope and tag on the cover.

Page 1 unfolded.

Pages 2 & 3. The image on Page 3 is held by the flower and 2 clear photo corners.

Pages 4 & 5 and the tag that slides into the side pocket in page 4.

Pages 6 & 7 and the tag that slides into the top pocket in page 6.

Pages 8 & 9 and the tags that slide into the side and image pockets in and on page 8.

Pages 10 & 11 and the tags that slide into the top and image pockets in page 10.

Pages 12 & 13 and the tags that slide into the side pocket of page 12. I left the page pocket empty for now.

Pages 14 & 15 and the tags that slide into the top pocket of page 12. The page pocket holds a couple of images from the 8x8 paper.

Pages 16 & 17. Page 16 has a tag that slides into a side pocket and page 17 has a picture that is held by clear photo corners.

Page 18 & the back inside cover. Another pocket holding some images from the collection.

The last page unfolded.

Thanks for looking at all my pictures! Hope you enjoyed!

Oh my goodness M-C you have really knocked this one out of the ball park!! It's amazing, I love Graphic 45 but have not bought this collection for much the same reasons as yourself, but now I am most definitely converted!! The barn is so beautiful right down to the little birdcage in the window and the mini is just adorable, I have yet to venture into these but with your tuition and inspiration, I don't see how I can go wrong! Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous creation, you should be so proud of yourself and rightly so.

That barn is gorgeous andiactually was also drawn to the roosters as my mom ghas rooster everything in the 70's when i was growing so the colle toon is nostalgic for me.
