ABOUT THE BLOG HOP
Hi everyone, welcome to my little spot in Marion Smith's 1st ever Artsy Addict Technique Blog Hop! I am both thrilled and honored to be a part of this blog hop. If you are here, you should have come from Lily Marquez blog! If you came from somewhere else and want to follow the Artsy blog hop, the start point is Angela's blog! Angela worked hard to put the blog hop together!
There are great techniques being shared and loads of great people to meet and there are even some giveaways! See below what I'm giving away!
MY PROJECT/TECHNIQUE
My multi media canvas is inspired by my love of hills, water, flowers, birds, butterflies and bird cages. You can watch the full video.
For the blog portion, I am focusing on the birdcage. The cage is made of MDF and is sold by Kaisercraft. I used gold Rub'n Buff which I bought at Michael's. I then used/poured Gold Detail Embossing powder which I heat set. It comes out nice and shimmery! Later in the project, I decided to dry brush some black acrylic paint to age it a little.
THE COMPLETE PROJECT VIDEO
(FYI - I have uploaded a new version with slightly better audio 05/01/2011/15:09) Finally, I was able to upload it! Thanks for your patience and for taking the time to visit, read, watch and leave a comment!
You know that scrubbie from Ranger? Well it is great for more than getting ink off your hands! It does a great job of cleaning off your brushes (just use it from the top of the bristles towards the bottom). You can even use it to clean ink or glue off your brayer! And it lasts and lasts!
MY GIVE AWAY
To be eligible to win the following prize, you must be a follower of this blog and leave a comment at the bottom of this blog entry! You have until 1pm EST May 2nd to enter. I'll draw the prize later that Monday!
