March Layout Class and a Sneak Peek at May's!

Next are the 6 pages for the April Layout class. There will be a part two of this class in June, with a "For The Record" Class in May, just to break things up a little! Anyone attending the April class is required to also purchase the June class. Total cost of $40 for both, is payable the night of the first class, since the base kit will have been opened and compromised.  If you would like to order the complete 12 page travel kit and have it mailed to you, please contact me.  The kits will ship out once all 12 pages are ready and kitted, likely in early June. The Travel page kit is from Best Creations and it is just adorable!

Sometimes the paper tells most of the story and
you don't need a ton of embelishments.

We are going to learn to make the letters match perfectly.

A little of this and that!
Sneak peek at the May class... layout in progress:

The May, For the Record class, will be a little higher at $35 for the 6 pages, as I intend to use trim, flowers, metal embelishments and so forth on most of the 6 pages! For the record is intended for the ladies to use for themselves or someone special to document their lives and I intend for the layouts to reflect this.

Just a reminder, this is my work and is automatically copywrited. Please do not reproduce the pictures without my permission! I would really, really hate to have to sic Hubby on you, haha!

Painting Plastic

I really wanted to lighten up my scrap room a little and the ugly black clip-it-ups and the grey multi drawer organizer and the white  and black ribbon boxes just were not making me feel happy anymore!  And surely you know tha there is nothing more important in a creative space than to feel very happy, though it is likely that for some unhappiness also works!  But unhappiness inspires me to write poetry and songs, not make pretty scrapbook pages, and minis!  So I decided to paint all these plastic things! I'm sure many of you have done that, but for those of you who haven't it can really be a great thing and you can repaint the same items over and over again, simply by using a spray plastic primer.  Of course you can also use Krylon Plastic Paint.  The Clip-it-Ups, multi-drawer and single drawer green chest and the aqua colored ribbon boxes were all primed first. The pink, yellow and green ribbon boxes were not primed. I used Krylon plastic paint on those!

Even those black office stackable drawers can be painted!
