I Noticed Something Today

I was looking at some of the pictures on my cell phone and came across a picture that I took on or around January 21st. At that time, my odometer read 16,353 or so miles. It just happened that I was in my car, so I looked at my current odometer reading and realized that I was at over 29,783 miles! Would you believe that I've driven all those miles in the last 6 months! Wow is all I've got to say!

As I settle slowly into my beautiful new home, I do realize that I am blessed in so many ways. My son and I are close. My husband loves me and I have the best friends! Sure I miss everyone that isn't here with me; and while that won't change anytime soon, as some have said, it will get better as I get more settled in and make plans to see as many as I can over time! Meanwhile I need to focus on everything that I do have, and the fact that I could have ended up in a place that I didn't like rather than here in northern Kentucky with it's hills, river and charm.

I'm laughing at how wide and long your driveway is. If you saw my one and half car wide driveway that is just a few inches longer than my husband's truck, you'd understand why. People in NoVA don't seem to believe in roomy driveways.... ugh!

Great to see a new addition to your blog!

The scenery looks so beautiful. Two of the things I miss about my home state are the hills and the changing seasons. I envy you for having that.
Still missing you...guess that won't change,
Janie

Your blog sounds very positive and also sounds like you are settling nicely in your new home. My family has been enjoying the beautiful hills of Kentucky since around the 1700s (as far back as we know.
Happy for you, but please know that we all do miss you here.

Geez! Over 13,000 miles?! All I have to say is 13,000 miles and no speeding tickets is very impressive to me. :) (Unless there's something you're not telling us... lol) I totally agree with Lynne. You have such an endearing and welcoming personality, you'll have a slew of friends in no time! But if you ever land yourself back in Fl, you know who to look for!!!
